"In the beginning, all America was Virginia" as an inscription goes.
She's historic and beautiful, - was what I thought the moment I set foot on the place....a t least, on that little bit of Virginia. Had the chance to go around some when we brought Elise, my daughter Bing's second one, back to school at the Washington and Lee University -in Lexington. This was after a break.
This is the Jamestown Settlement at Williamsburg....depicting 17th century colonial Virginia..

.....said to be a botanic showcase. The architectural structure down by the vegetable gardens was where Jefferson would spend quiet moments .. mostly in reading books.
