Airport Postscript

(Thought-Random)

Dear God, have missed my flight to Frankfurt
Now am I stuck in Singapore
Now need an overnight stopover
Now in my aloneness I wonder
Now must this experience explore
Now what never happened before.

Dear God, instead of Frankfurt it's Narita
Now am I wrapped in helplessness
Now need rebooking plus the works
Now in an effort to quench my fears
Now must I strive  hold quiescent
Now what should not turn turbulent.

Dear God, the airlines in my  dire distress
Flies somehow to me in total effort
                                                 Lavish upon me priority status
Provides me an escort sweet and caring who
Leads me front of queues for service to
Ease my transit JFK through LAX.

Dear God, now must I thank you -
For that bit of thrill and  intoxication
For that fraction of a thunderbolt
To shake my life into sensibility, and
For the time and space out of comfort zone
                For new friends and acquaintances.

Yes, dear God, with Your mysterious ways
You truly are amazing!
