Random thoughts that obtain at the spur of the moment: -conveying recall of time gone, projecting aspirations and preferences for the future, revealing present choices and dispositions, ushering one's heart to aspects unreal.....these make up reconstructed time.
1.My homeland's lovely shaded woods/ with their dark light green crown/ that is for me the nicest place/ to live in peace and freedom/ a sound fresh air and tender guys/ a luncheon and a beer/ that is the best I've ever met/ I'd love to stay on here/
CHORUS God bless you, my dear Bayerwald*/ I sadly have to go/ God bless you, my dear Bayerwald/ I'm bound to reach another shore/ But sure one day I'm coming back/ and will forever stay/ then it will be like good old times/ and be our palmy day/
2. At (the) evenings in the far big town/ I'm suffering from my heart/ so lonely, I would give a lot/ to be with my beloved ones/ Then I think of my Bayerwald/ that brings light to my mind/ then heaven is so near again/ and everything alright/
3. When once the bell will toll to me/ after the will of God/ I hope that paradise will be/ as nice as my dear Bayerwald/ Will I one day be coming back/ down to this gracious earth/ Sure I will choose my Bayerwald/ where living is most worth/
Gott mein Bayerwald
