Apple-picking went Anika

(Camera-Random)

Apple!  - not the designer of  iPod and  iTunes,  Mac laptop and desktop computers,  the OS X operating system and the revolutionary  iPhone and  iPad....... but the pomaceous fruit of the apple tree, species Malus domestica in the rose family.

Yes, that apple! That apple which comes in all shades of reds and greens and yellows.  That apple which was the favorite fruit of  ancient Greeks and Romans.... and of Anika... which is why with her, we went apple-picking yesterday.

Am going to pick this apple!

....two....three.....!

Uh-oh!

Nope...that one's still mine....

Hey, you,  -you're mine!

Come on......

Now up-sy daisy!

....wasn't difficult at all!

......really SWEET!

OOps!....starting to drizzle!

Anika interested in the cider mill...

Easy to balance on this pumpkin!

This lovely cluster of yellow flowers was at the entrance of the farm... lovely sight as Anika said  goodbye to the apple afternoon she just enjoyed!
